Gemini season is eclipse season. Your horoscopes this month are inspired by the world of fanfiction tropes. Fanfiction is a dynamic and creative multiverse of stories created by fandoms of all kinds, and tropes are plot devices. Since Gemini inspires stories and storytelling, and if your month was a fanfiction trope, what would it be? Read your horoscopes to find out.
TAURUS SEASON 2021 HOROSCOPES
The glorious entry of Mercury and Sun in Taurus on April 19th is welcomed by its ruler Venus, and they’re already present, booked, and busy in Taurus. It’s a spicier, less grounded kind of Taurus season, because the planets will be rattled and mangled with the tension between Uranus and Saturn. Hopefully, it’ll bring exciting moments.
Mars enters Cancer on April 23rd, making it harder to put in work. However, the star of the show is Jupiter entering Pisces on May 13th. This will patch and soften your weary bones and spirit, giving you a sense of hope and optimism that helps you push through. Read your Rising Sign horoscopes for more personal insights!
ARIES SEASON 2021 HOROSCOPES
The Sun’s ingress into Aries on March 20th was pivotal as it is considered the astrological new year. It usher’s the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere and an increase in daylight hours. The Sun is exalted in Aries, and the collective access to courage and sheer will are top notch during this time. This is a great season to creatively express and proudly share yourself and all your endeavours.
PISCES SEASON 2021 HOROSCOPES
Pisces season is considerably more chill but picks up the pace after that “stuck-in-place” feeling of the last couple of months. Sun enters Pisces on Feb. 18th, ushering in the end of winter and the approach of spring in the northern hemisphere. New and sweet beginnings abound with Venus also entering the creative sign of Pisces on Feb. 25th, and the New Moon at 23° takes place here on Mar. 13th, too. This new moon is conjoined Neptune, so expect some glamour and dazzling illusions. Treat yourselves, please.
AQUARIUS SEASON 2021 HOROSCOPES
Aquarius season begins on Jan. 18th, which further lights up this area of your charts this month. The Full Moon at 9° Leo on Jan. 28th culminates whatever started back in Aug. 2020. This Full Moon is tense because it squares Mars and Uranus in Taurus and opposes Jupiter in Aquarius. There is potential for explosive awakenings or unexpected developments in the situations you find yourself in.
Mercury stations retrograde at 11° Aquarius on Jan. 30th. It's the first one for 2021. You know the drill right? Double-check all communications, take extra time going from one place to another as getting lost is quite common under Mercury retrograde skies, back up your digital files, and exercise more patience for yourself and everyone else. It's recommended to finish projects versus starting new ones if you can. But please don't worry yourself. Life must go on.
CAPRICORN SEASON 2020-2021 HOROSCOPES
Capricorn season is always solstice season, with the earth in the northern hemisphere tilting towards the light, finally extending the days after long nights. At the same time, the Sun enters Capricorn, and we will experience the dawn of a new era- Jupiter and Saturn conjoin 0° Aquarius. Wherever you have Aquarius in your chart, this marks a poignant beginning in your personal and collective histories.
A Full Moon at 8° Cancer occurs on Dec. 29th, culminating whatever began back in July 2020. On Jan. 6th, 2021, Mars finally departs fast-paced Aries and enters the more languid landscapes of Taurus. A New Moon takes place on Jan. 13th at 23° Capricorn marking new beginnings without Jupiter & Saturn. It conjoins Pluto and therefore signifies potent and intense inceptions. Read your horoscopes for more personal insights for Capricorn season!
SAGITTARIUS SEASON 2020 HOROSCOPES
Sagittarius Season encompasses possibilities and lessons about labour, especially under circumstances and environments that aren't supportive. It highlights a society's conditioning towards what is considered 'normal' and reveals its culture and biases. Personally for you, this means some situations this month may require more effort without recognition or encouragement. It challenges your own level of tolerance when engaging with unfair systems of power— not to mention we are officially entering eclipse season and a new Jupiter/Saturn era.
SCORPIO SEASON 2020 HOROSCOPES
Scorpio season boasts a hopeful improvement and progression of stalled and suspended circumstances. The previous month's astroweather was like trudging on mud with a strong desire to just lay down and avoid all responsibilities... or maybe it inspired a need to pull back and contemplate before taking any direct action. This month things move forward, finally, but of course not without hiccups.
LIBRA SEASON 2020 HOROSCOPES
Drink Droplet horoscopes will now publish horoscopes whenever the Sun enters a new sign and ushers us into a new solar astrological season! Libra Season begins!
The Sun enters the sign of its fall in Libra on the 22nd, ushering in the Fall Equinox and forming a beautiful mutual reception with Venus in Leo. Venus enters Virgo on Oct 2nd, also the sign of its fall. Planets in the sign of its fall often have to labour and put in more effort to act out its inherent nature. They are usually neglected, under-appreciated, and unrecognized. On the other hand, planets in mutual reception exchange their home signs and mitigate any challenges the Sun may experience.
SEPTEMBER 2020 HOROSCOPES
September's astroweather is perfect for building fortitude, forming a resilient spirit, maintaining resolute determination, and, most importantly, it is for gracious surrender and provision of softness wherever and whenever possible. You don’t have to “tough it out” if that's not what the situation calls for. Oftentimes, it's one’s ability to be pliant that helps you yield under pressure and turn sharp corners.
AUGUST 2020 HOROSCOPES
August blesses us with teachable moments and opportunities to problem solve whatever is plaguing us. Put another way, this month may frustrate and test our patience. Just remember that change takes place under struggle born out of the desire to make things better. Conflicts aren't always harmful. You're better off divorcing from the binary way of thinking. Life is not just divided between good or bad things, it is more complex and nuanced than that.
JULY 2020 HOROSCOPES
JUNE 2020 HOROSCOPES
adrienne maree brown says, "Things are not getting worse, they are getting uncovered. We must hold each other tight and continue to pull back the veil."
MAY 2020 HOROSCOPES
How are you faring with the new, unhurried pace of your life? Have you acclimatized to your new normal? The month of May brings with it a same-but-different kind of slow.
While there are plenty of technical events this month, the overall energy flirts with your dreams and imagination. It's a month of seducing the parts of your life that are currently at a stand-still. And instead of getting frustrated, perhaps it is more productive to suspend and wait out whatever is trying to emerge. Stillness, in its own way, is a kind of action.
APRIL 2020 HOROSCOPES
What a time to be alive. Wherever you are, I hope you are keeping well and safe. And helping our current collective situation by physically distancing but also staying socially engaged. We are stronger together.
For this month's horoscopes, I'll be giving you a 3-item to-do list you can try out to help you stay grounded amidst the collective chaos. When we nurture our inner sense of calm, we make better decisions and gain more capacity to help others. With more mindfulness and awareness-based practices, we are better equipped to channel more empathy for the grief and losses we are all experiencing. “It is in your self-interest to find a way to be very tender.”
♄ SATURN IN AQUARIUS 2020-2023
THE WORLD STAGE
On Mar. 21st, 2020, at 11:58 pm EDT, Saturn entered Aquarius. Whenever outer planets change signs, astrologers often mark these moments as note-worthy times in history. As we speak, the whole world is currently dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Saturn, the planet signifying limits, restrictions and boundaries, are apt descriptive words of the current reality everyone is dealing with. Social distancing became the buzz word, while Saturn spent its last moments in Capricorn. Saturn will retrograde back into Capricorn on Jul. 1st, 2020. It will return to Aquarius on Dec. 17th, 2020 and will stay there until Mar. 8th, 2023.
When Saturn was in Capricorn since Dec. 2017 until just recently, it's most crucial transits were its co-presence and conjunction with Pluto and the South Node eclipses. On Jan. 12th, 2020, Saturn and Pluto conjoined at 22º Capricorn, starting a new cycle between these two outer planets. When Mars, the planet of action, entered Capricorn on Feb. 16th, 2020, we watched the world bent over and grappled with the quickly spreading COVID-19 infection. Authorities had to impose border and travel restrictions to contain the virus. The economic recession appears inevitable as most industries come to a halt.
Nonetheless, it has been impressive to watch how some governments provided fundamental and economic human rights in light of the current global emergency. Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn in many ways, exposed old power structures that can no longer hold and support itself. Necessitating all levels of reform with COVID-19 as a catalyst.
Now with Saturn in Aquarius, the world is adjusting to what may potentially be a new reality. A new world order. In a capitalist paradigm, profit and consumption are its primary mechanism of function. Now, people are having to adapt to what appears to be a rationing of scarce resources - money, bodies, time and space. Communities are called to strengthen their connections to survive isolation during physical distancing. Front line health care workers are fighting in desperation to support the gravely ill. Some countries' health care systems are unable to give them appropriate protection. The amount of people dying at a short amount of time seems unprecedented for most of us who have not lived through and survived wars. Saturn's entry into Aquarius is urgently and promptly compelling us to change the ways we live. If we are to survive this moment in history.
MARCH 2020 HOROSCOPES
March arrives seemingly out of nowhere and picks up the pace after February's much needed slow down. A lot of celestial changes take place this month, so keep on reading.
Mercury continues to move backwards and re-enters Aquarius on March 4th. On the same day, Venus, the goddess of art and beauty, enters its home sign Taurus. This will surely bring sweetness and unexpected pleasures to this area of your charts.
March 9th welcomes a Full Moon at 19˚ Virgo, culminating whatever began August 30, 2019. This Full Moon is incredibly grounding and comforting as it moves through supportive aspects with other planets in earth signs. In contrast, however, both the Sun & Moon will form a challenging aspect to Neptune, so there may be a longing to attach divine meaning to whatever concrete outcomes this Full Moon delivers.
On the same day of the Full Moon, Venus conjoins Uranus bringing an element of surprise and Mercury stations direct. Mercury will still be slow on this day but finally moving forward. We’ll depart Mercury's post-retrograde shadow officially on March 30th, aka, all systems go!
The astrological new year begins with the Sun's ingress in the tropical sign of Aries on March 19th. In the north this signals the start of the Spring Equinox and the Fall Equinox in the south. In the northern hemisphere, solar light starts to stretch the days. Spring is in the air!
Then, on March 21st, we’ll witness Saturn change domiciles into Aquarius, officially beginning the Saturn return journey for people born with this placement. From this date until July 1st, we’ll see a new Saturnian narrative unfold in this area of your charts. Mars follows shortly and will also enter Aquarius on March 30th, boosting the signal of potential changes that are sure to take place in the next little while.
Finally, we close out the month with a New Moon at 4˚ Aries on March 24th. This particular lunation is a bit punchy and possibly frustrating. But nonetheless, a new beginning emerges.
Read your horoscopes below to see how March's astroweather will impact you personally.
COMMUNITY-MINDED SOLUTIONS
As part and extension of our #DignityBabes conversations, one of my final reflections are about the gifts community collaboration can bring to your astrology studies and practice. This is also in honour of Mercury's return to its sign of exile and fall, Pisces. Now more than ever, we're thinking more about our oneness and our humanity. Especially in light of the current global COVID-19 pandemic. How I'm thinking about astrology now compared to 4 weeks ago when we started this campaign, has tremendously grown. Thanks in part to my co-conspirators for being amazing critical-thought leaders:
@astrologywithcello, @ddamascenaa, @etshipley, @justjogleason, @kelseyrosetort.
Thank you for helping me think outside the box. For stretching my imagination. For helping me centre humanity & divinity in my thought processes. I am in awe and complete adoration of all of you. To the rest of our community who participated and joined, however big or small, public or private, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Conversations are always the right place to start.
STRUCTURE & SURRENDER
A dear diary kind of share for #DignityBabes. This week we talked about the overwhelming and exciting journey of learning astrology. And how this informs what we put out in public & how we interact with creators.
Truth be told, I struggled to formulate my thoughts during this soupy Mercury Retrograde in Pisces. What had me engaging in a rebuttal and defence re Essential Dignities was my knee-jerk reaction to public figures and their clout. It feels vulnerable to say that I am invested in creating a certain level of professionalism and collegial relationship within the astrological community (btw Professionalism is one of our topics next week!).
ON WITNESSING
This week's #DignityBabes second scheduled conversation turns our gaze towards the philosophical questions that inevitably come from studying and practicing Astrology. For this piece, I humbly point my writing intention towards my peers - Astrologers who have chosen the path of providing the service of astrological consultation. Those who have the honour and responsibility to engage with clients. Those who discuss people's birth charts and their year ahead. Those who answer questions and elect auspicious time. And perhaps even those who construct magical material. Those who hold someone's trust to articulate their life - what has been and what is to come.
