The last half of November hopefully brought you some luck and prosperity. If not, I hope at least it inspired in you a new point of view. December is shaping up to be more work and less play. This month warms up the muscles required to apply the vision for the upcoming new decade ahead. Keep reading for tips on how to make the last month of 2019 count.
The biggest event this month will be Jupiter's departure from its home sign Sagittarius (read: 😭) and its arrival in Capricorn on Dec. 2nd. The planet of expansion switches gears from a mutable fire sign to a cardinal earth sign, signaling a shift in attitude. Are you equipped to hustle & grind to make your dreams real? Generally, Jupiter's nature is contra to Capricorn's temperament. The energy will go from enthusiastic to productive, spontaneous to responsible, carefree to cautious. Mercury finally leaves Scorpio (🙌) and enters Sagittarius on Dec. 9th. Mercury here is not its usual detail-oriented persona but more of a big-picture voyager. The Mercury-ruled Full Moon at 19˚ Gemini takes place on Dec. 11th/12th. It is a culmination of whatever you've been growing since June 3rd. Venus leaves hard-working Capricorn and enters intellectual Aquarius on Dec. 20th. This adjusts the mood of our relationships to a more pragmatic and fair-minded level.
The Sun enters Capricorn on Dec. 21st signaling the winter solstice and the return of the light. From here on forward, the Saturnian drive towards self-discipline, prudence, and perseverance take the reins. We have a Solar Eclipse (i.e. an amplified new moon) at 4˚ Capricorn on Dec. 25th/26th most likely shaking up everyone's holiday gatherings. Taurus
December starts you off on the track to invest in your maturity and evolution. While this growth may be related to your career, the work you put in will also nurture other areas of your life. However, your home life has been quite busy and December is yelling at you to stop neglecting your relationship to pleasure. The Full Moon on the 11th/12th will close out a cycle in your career, emphasizing once again, that you need to take a break. Mid-month onwards will find you indulging in too many sweets of the literal and figurative kind. Your day-to-day gets a little sugar-boost; like finding a flower blooming in the middle of winter.
