My teachers, knowledge & community lineage
Before getting serious about becoming a professional astrologer, like most queers craving an intersectional and political view of astrology, I was an avid reader and student of Chani Nicholas’ online workshops (even before when she had her blog with the best name: Until The Stars Fall From The Sky). I started formal mentorship & studies in 2016 and completed 4 Levels of the curriculum in 2018 on the foundations of humanistic & psychological astrology, and modern predictive & relationship techniques with Julia Beyer, a local Toronto astrologer and tarot reader for over 30 years. I also graduated and studied Tarot with her. I was an advanced student from 2017-2019 of Julie Simmons, a local Toronto astrologer for over 40 years and the teacher of my first teacher Julia Beyer, where I receive monthly professional development and peer supervision. In 2018, I enrolled in the Hellenistic Astrology course by Chris Brennan and supplemented my course with Demetra George’s materials. I have also taken courses offered online by Austin Coppock from 2018-2020. In January 2019, I enrolled in a locational astrology course. In May 2019, I attended my first-ever astrology conference at NORWAC in Seattle, WA. In July 2019, I started a year-long Horary Astrology course for Advanced Certification with Adam Elenbaas. I finished studying locational astrology and advanced predictive techniques with Sam Reynolds from January to June 2021. I served as a board member of Astrology Toronto from 2018-2021, a non-profit organization serving the Toronto astrological communities since 1991. In March 2022, I completed the Being Here, Human's 3-Level Online Grief Literacy Training.
